Candidates to the presidential elections of October 2004

Four candidates have officially presented their candidacy :

	President Zine El Adidine Ben Ali
	Mr. Mohamed Bouchiha, Secretary General of the PUP
	Mr. Mounir Beji, President of the PSL (opposition party)
	Mr. Mohamed Ali Halouani, member of Political Bureau of Ettajdid Movement

In 1999, three candidates participated in the presidential election : President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, the Secretary General of UDU, and the Secretary General of PUP.
