Democratic Constitutional Rally

Founded in 1920 by the late Abdelaziz Thaalbi, under the name of Parti Constitutionnaliste Tunisien, or Destour. In 1934, it took the name of «Neo-Destour», the party that led the struggle for national liberation under the leadership of Habib Bourguiba. At the Bizerte Congress held in October 1964, it became the «Parti Socialiste Destourien» (PSD).
