In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate,
Excellencies,
We have just had the pleasure of receiving the letters accrediting you as ambassadors of your brotherly and friendly
countries to Tunisia.
While expressing my gratitude to the leaders of your respective countries for the kind feelings they have expressed
toward my person and toward Tunisia and the Tunisian people, feelings by which I am very touched, I would like
in turn to request that you kindly
convey to the leaders of your countries and to your peoples the expressions of our friendship and our consideration.
As you start your mission, I would like to welcome you cordially to your second homeland, Tunisia, whose people
regard your countries and peoples with deep affection and respect. I would also like to offer you my sincere congratulations
on the confidence you have
enjoyed and express the hope that , thanks to your action, Tunisia's relations with the brotherly and friendly
countries you represent, will continue to be further consolidated, and that success will crown your efforts in
the accomplishment of your mission.
In the framework of our special relations with your countries, we will endeavor to provide you with all necessary
assistance and support from the Tunisian authorities in order to facilitate your task and guarantee the best of
conditions for the accomplishment of your mission.
Thus, in addition to the direct contacts I personally make with my brothers and friends the leaders of your countries,
we will see to it that all channels of contact and dialogue are always open to you.
We are hopeful that our ties will further develop in the future and that the relations of friendship and fruitful
cooperation between Tunisia and your countries will continue to develop in furtherance of our mutual interests,
in line with our peoples' aspirations to security, peace, well-being and progress.
In reiterating my welcome and sincere congratulations to you, I would like to express, through you, my renewed
feelings of brotherhood, friendship and consideration to the leaders of your respective countries, as well as my
best wishes for their personal
and their peoples' continued progress, success and prosperity''
