New Tunisian Ambasasdors named abroad

Several new Tunisian ambassadors have received Wednesday their credentials from President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

The Tunisian President "asked the new envoys to work for the consolidation of the ties" between Tunisia and various foreign nations, said the official news agency "Tunis Afrique Presse".

The new ambassadors are:

• Mr Fethi Merdassi, ambassador to Belgium.
• Mr Mohamed Ghariani, ambassador to the United Kingdom
• Mr Habib Mansour, ambassador to Italy.
• Mr Mohamed Nejib Hachana, ambassador to the United States of
  America.
• Mr Zouheir Dhaouadi, ambassador to Pakistan.
• Mr Ahmed Ben Mustapha, ambassador to the United Arab Emirates
• Mr Moahmed Ridha Farhat, ambassador to Portugal
• Mrs Hamida Mrabet Labidi, ambassador to Argentina
• Mr Jalel Lakhder, ambassador to the Senegal
• Mr Farhat Cheour, ambassor to Mali
• Mr Abdessalem Bouaicha, ambassador to the Sudan
